The Asian leader stressed that the spirit of the Silk Road, based on peaceful cooperation, openness, inclusiveness, and mutual benefit, is a common heritage that both countries should preserve and promote.
Xi emphasized that despite the profound changes in the current international situation, China’s will to value and develop relations with Italy has not changed.
He highlighted the importance of open and reciprocal cooperation in trade, investment, industrial manufacturing, and technological innovation.
“China is willing to import more high-quality Italian products and expects Italy to provide a fair and safe business environment for Chinese companies,” he added.
On the other hand, Giorgia Meloni expressed her satisfaction at visiting the Asian giant and acknowledged Beijing’s role in responding to global challenges.
