In a post on X, the head of State sent special congratulations and democratic, socialist, and revolutionary greetings to Maduro, who was re-elected President of Venezuela with 51.20 percent of the votes.
The president described the Venezuelan people as brave for their unquestionable triumph, reaffirming their sovereignty and the historical legacy of Hugo Chavez, the eternal commander of the Bolivarian Revolution.
The National Electoral Council (CNE)’s first bulletin reported that 5,150,092 Venezuelans voted for President Maduro. At the same time, his closest follower was the opponent of the Democratic Unity Platform, Edmundo Gonzalez, who reached 44.2 percent with the vote of 4,445,978 voters. The CNE stated that these results correspond to 80 percent of the data transmission, which marks “a conclusive and irreversible trend.” jrr/iff/jf/ybv
