Putin reaffirmed his intention to work with Venezuela to build a more just and democratic world order.

“I would like to express our willingness to continue our constructive joint work on current issues on the bilateral and international agenda. Remember that you will always be a welcome guest on Russian soil,” Putin concluded.

Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro won the elections with 51.2 percent after scrutiny of 80 percent of the minutes, according to results from the National Electoral Council (CNE).
