Raul Castro told Maduro that “the victory the Venezuelan people achieved is a convincing demonstration of the civil-military union of the Bolivarian and Chavista people, which has resisted the negative effects of the unjust unilateral coercive measures imposed by the United States Government, the acts of violence and interference in Venezuela’s internal affairs.”
A note on the Foreign Ministry’s official website adds, “The leader of the Cuban Revolution ratified to comrade Maduro Cuba’s solidarity and affection.”
