The meeting will start at 7:00 p.m., local time, and Cuban diplomats, members of the Central Workers of Argentina-Autonomous (CTA-A), the Solidarity Movement with Cuba, Popular Dignidad and other groups will participate.
The event will be an opportunity to commemorate the 71st anniversary of the attacks on the Moncada and Carlos Manuel de Céspedes garrison in Cuba, and the 72nd anniversary of the death of Eva Duarte de Perón (1919-1952), the Standard Bearer of the Humble and Spiritual Chief of Argentina.
Among the speakers are the second head of the Cuban Embassy, Leonardo Baster; CTA-A General Secretary Hugo Godoy; the president of the House of Friendship with Cuba in Buenos Aires, Rubén Zaccaro; and journalist Jorge Elbaum.
On July 26, 1953, young people led by leader Fidel Castro (1926-2016) rebelled against the dictatorship of Fulgencio Batista (1901-1973) and those events defined the beginning of the last stage of Cuba’s independence process.
A year earlier, the death of Evita, who is considered a figure of enormous importance in the fight for equality and the rights of citizens, was announced in Argentina.
