In a key municipality not only for its economic strength but also for its historical relevance in the Cuban revolutionary process, the provincial rally to commemorate the 71st anniversary of the assaults to the Moncada and Carlos Manuel de Céspedes barracks, in Santiago de Cuba and Bayamo, respectively, was held.

The inhabitants of this municipality in the south of Camagüey, main rice producer, have stood out on several fields, not only in food production.

In turn, the development of land plots, once idle, stands out in Vertientes, in addition to the inauguration of several social works, among which include centers for pregnant women.

In addition, the opening of a small industrial processing factory stands out, while the inhabitants of the municipality will be able to enjoy a new Cultural Center.

The leaders of the Communist Party of Cuba and of the Government in Camagüey were present at an event where those present showed their willingness to support the social process in Cuba, vindicate the history and the legacy of the revolutionary deeds.
