According to the report, the delegation has already started the trip to Pyongyang, where Rizhenkov will arrive this Monday to respond to an invitation from the counterpart of the Asian country.
On April 16, Belarusian Deputy Foreign Minister Evgueni Shestakov traveled to the DPRK, the first visit of a high-level delegation to Pyongyang in many years.
The leaders of the two countries, Alexander Lukashenko and Kim Jong Un, often exchange telegrams on the occasion of national holidays, but in recent years there have been no visits of high-ranking representatives from Minsk to Pyongyang.
The last stay of representatives of the Belarusian Foreign Ministry in the DPRK was in December 2018.
