This was announced by the head of the CNE, Elvis Amoroso, who expressed his pride for this work of several days and assured that the teams are already in the 23 states of the country and the Capital District. The Bolivarian National Armed Forces have supporting this work.
He stressed that from the sheds in Mariche, in the State of Miranda (center north), all the material that will be used in Sunday’s elections was sent out, with six days left for the voting exercise, in which more than 21.6 million Venezuelans are eligible to vote.
The high-ranking official of the Electoral Power pointed out that the representatives of the political forces participating in these elections, the 31st since the arrival of the Revolution 25 years ago, as well as the international observers, participated in each of the processes.
He remarked that the latter verified each step of the voting process and took part in the audits, together with CNE technicians, party organizations and other entities.
The foreign observers -among them the Carter Center of the United States, the Council of Electoral Experts of Latin America, the UN Panel of Experts and others- considered the system “perfect and totally shielded” for the people to exercise their will, he said. Amoroso pointed out that they were able to verify in practice that we are before “the best electoral system in the world”.
