Gil, speaking last night at a ceremony held in the Plaza de la Fe in the capital, highlighted the struggle of the Nicaraguan people. He also noted that these have been years of popular victory.
Before hundreds of national guests and international delegations, the head of Venezuelan diplomacy recalled that since childhood in his country, they knew that in Nicaragua a true revolution of the poor and peasants was being born, which has been maintained with the absolute loyalty of its leaders.
“Nicaragua, thanks to the Sandinista Popular Revolution, is the voice of those who want to silence, of the Palestinian people, of Venezuela, Cuba, it is the voice of the poor, of the peasants, the workers, it is the voice against imperialism which is our main enemy,” he stressed.
Gil expressed that the Central American nation also represents the struggle against neocolonialism, which today, in different countries, is trying to impose itself.
