Cuban television will broadcast a special program on Monday night, when it will present evidence that demonstrates these purposes, the Ministry of the Interior (MININT) informed in a press release published in Granma newspaper.
The source recalled that last December, the Cuban Government published the list of people and entities that sponsor terrorism against Cuba in the Official Gazette of the Republic.
Two days later, preliminary information was released about the neutralization of a new recruitment plan to promote violent actions in the country that a Cuban citizen who resides in the United States intended to carry out.
As a result of the investigation carried out by the specialized agencies of the MININT, Ardenys García Alvarez, the main perpetrator of these actions, which were planned in the United States, was arrested.
García Alvarez emigrated to the United States illegally in 2014, he entered Cuba by sea clandestinely carrying firearms and ammunition.
The MININT forces once again prevented the implementation of the plans designed, directed and financed from the United States, and generated an investigative process that focused on the facts and the people involved.
Every year, Washington allocates millions of dollars to finance discredit campaigns and violent actions with the purpose of subverting the revolutionary process in Cuba.
In 2022, the US Congress approved the allocation of more than 35 million dollars to subversive programs led by the Department of State, the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) and the National Endowment for Democracy (NED).
