The outgoing head of Government, Rishi Sunak, went to that emblematic place first, having previously assumed in a public appearance the electoral defeat of his party and announced his resignation as Conservative leader.
Then Starmer came, winner of this Thursday’s elections where the Labor Party obtained 412 deputies, compared to the 121 achieved by the Conservative Party, according to official results.
Once installed at number 10 Downing Street, the official residence of the Prime Minister, the new head of Government will have among his first tasks the configuration of his new cabinet, where he will incorporate part of the Labor members with seats.
