Foreign Ministry Spokeswoman Mao Ning rejected the statements made by NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg about the Chinese Government.
Stoltenberg noted that Beijing’s actions challenged the organization’s values, interests, and security and suggested that Russia was importing advanced technology from China to produce missiles and drones for their use in the conflict in Europe.
“I do not know what NATO’s values are; if it wants to use ideological lines to create conflicts, provoke confrontations, and escalate tensions, China cannot agree to it,” Mao said.
The spokeswoman stressed that Beijing is committed to promoting dialogue and a political solution to the Ukrainian crisis.
This is the second time in less than a month that the Chinese Foreign Ministry has rejected Stoltenberg’s statements on the same issue.
