Over 90 percent of cyberattacks on Russia come from Ukraine

Moscow, Jun 28 (Prensa Latina) More than 90 percent of cybercrimes in Russia are committed from Ukraine using NATO technologies, Alexander Avdeiko, director of the contractual legal department at the Ministry of Internal Affairs, affirmed recently.

“We have noticed that the call centers from which most of these actions are taken are from Ukraine; we are in a fight against sabotage crimes,” Avdeiko said at the St. Petersburg International Legal Forum.

The official informed that more than 1,000 banks selling mobile SIM cards, 11 communications servers, and more than 250,000 SIM cards were seized in 40 Russian regions.

The International Legal Forum opened in St. Petersburg on Thursday until June 28. The theme is “Law as the Basis of Global Balance.”

The organizing committee noted that the forum traditionally brings together prominent jurists, politicians, entrepreneurs, and members of public organizations from several countries.
