On Sunday, Ukrainian forces attacked Sevastopol using five American Atacms rockets fitted with cluster munitions, of which four were intercepted by Russian air defense.
The mid-air destruction of the 5th Atacms caused numerous civilian casualties. According to the latest data, four people lost their lives, including two children, while 153 others were injured.
The spokesperson for the Russian Foreign Ministry, María Zajárova, assured this Monday that all those involved in the deadly Ukrainian attack against the port city of Sevastopol, on the Crimean peninsula, will be punished.
Other reports indicated that on Sunday, the priest of the Russian Orthodox church in Derbent, Father Nikolai, and a guard at a temple in Makhachkala were killed.
Authorities stated that a checkpoint, two churches and a synagogue were attacked in Makhachkala and Derbent.
The head of the Press Service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Daguestan, Gayana Gariyeva, reported that as a result of terrorist actions in Makhachkala, six law enforcement officers were killed and 12 others were injured.
