Iqbal told reporters that the projects aim to boost the economy and social welfare and promote innovation focused on artificial intelligence, environmental protection, and cooperation with other regional nations.

He also raised expectations on new strategies to eradicate poverty in Pakistan and extend the CPEC benefits to neighboring countries.

In the last few days, Minister of the International Department of the CPC Central Committee Liu Jianchao, who visited Islamabad, reaffirmed his Government’s continued strategic cooperative partnership with Pakistan.

In a meeting with Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Muhammad Ishaq Dar, the Chinese minister expressed satisfaction over the progress of the economic corridor and assured Beijing’s commitment to the timely implementation of all projects.

Liu called for further strengthening relations between the Communist Party of China (CPC) and Pakistan’s political groups, whom he thanked for supporting CPEC and the friendly relations between the two nations.

Ishaq Dar, in turn, appreciated the positive contribution of CPEC to his country’s socio-economic development, progress, and prosperity.
