On his way to a meeting with EU colleagues in Luxembourg, Szijjártó noted that another battle between those in favor of war and those of peace will take place there.
“Today they want to announce the allocation of billions of euros for the supply of weapons to Ukraine,” the official said about the plans of the community leaders.
According to Szijjártó, if even a tenth of this energy were spent on strengthening peace, there would be far fewer deaths and less destruction.
Hungary previously opposed the use of Russian-frozen assets for these purposes.
The head of EU diplomacy, Josep Borrell, said that since Hungary refused to participate in the decision, the question of where exactly the benefits of such assets will be directed and how they will be used can also be solved without its participation.
