The ruble reaches a record in trade with Europe

Moscow, Jun 20 (Prensa Latina) The ruble reached a record participation in Russia's foreign trade with European countries in April of this year, according to data published by Russia’s Central Bank.

The Central Bank reported that the share of the ruble in settlements of Russian goods shipments to Europe remains a record for the second consecutive month, increasing to 58.3 percent in April from 58.2 percent in March.

Likewise, payments in rubles in April grew most strongly in the countries of Oceania: the share of the ruble in Russian exports increased by 13% up to 68.8%, and in imports by 15% up to 65.3%.

The currency was also used more frequently by African countries when paying for Russian goods, accounting for 60.3% in April compared to 51.4 in March; The share of the ruble in Russia’s payment for goods from Asia reached a record figure of 35.8%, compared to 33.6% in March.
