The aid includes medical equipment and supplies, food and an electricity generator.
The head of the Russian Coordination Centre, General Yuri Babov, said that this aid is part of the effort to improve the capabilities of this hospital centre so that it can provide medical and humanitarian services to people in need.
The officer reaffirmed that the Centre will continue to provide batches of this aid in the future.
In turn, the chairman of the hospital’s board of directors, Muhammad Khaddour, praised the support provided by Russian friends to the Syrian people, especially during the period of the terrorist war imposed on Syria.
He stressed the importance of supplying the hospital with medical equipment and pharmaceutical supplies due to the heavy impact left by the unjust unilateral sanctions imposed by the United States and its allies.
The head of the hospital’s medical office, Ghiath Khalil, spoke of the wide range of medical and health services provided by the 40-bed facility, which employs about 150 doctors, nurses and health staff.
He said that the Emergency Department receives about 150 patients daily and treats more than 40 in the Radiology Department, in addition to performing dozens of surgeries daily.
According to Moscow, the army’s assistance to Syria contributed to the liberation of 90 per cent of its territory from terrorism.
