“We condemn once again, these absurd outrages that reflect an invariable filibustering behavior on the U.S. part that have done, and continue to do so much damage to the world and the human community,” a communiqué highlighted from the Executive.
The text conveyed a fraternal embrace to Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro, the Government and the social movements of Venezuela.
“In the strength of the great liberating spirit of our great and extraordinary human beings who have guided and guide our struggles, our battles for justice, truth and rights at all levels,” it stressed.
Nicaragua expressed that they make this claim and condemnation on behalf of this people, who have known how to transcend fighting the interferences, interventions and occupations, unleashed by the United States throughout history against a working, fighting, brave and determined people, who like the great people of Simon Bolivar, Hugo Chavez and Nicolas
Maduro, will never sell out, nor will they ever surrender.
Venezuela strongly rejected on Monday what it called the process of dispossession of Citgo Petroleum Corporation (CITGO), which continues to be carried out by the U.S. authorities.
This procedure is being conducted “under the subterfuge of a judicial procedure of forced sale of shares clearly contrary to the law,” a statement issued by Executive Vice President Delcy Rodriguez denounced.
The text explained that CITGO is an important strategic asset of the state-owned company Petroleos de Venezuela (PDVSA), and pointed out that its “forced sale constitutes another episode of the multiform aggression” carried out by the U.S. institutions against the Bolivarian Republic.
