ALBA-TCP called to raise ‘our voice to demand the end of genocide against the Palestinian people’.

At the XXIII Summit of Heads of State and Government of the regional mechanism, held on April 24 in Caracas, the Alliance unanimously approved a special communiqué on the situation of Palestine.
The document demanded a just and lasting solution with the creation of two States, with East Jerusalem as its capital, and that the right of return of the refugees be guaranteed.
The leaders reiterated the call to the international community to impose an immediate ceasefire in Gaza and to stop the genocide, war crimes and against humanity and its population, which violate the principles and purposes of the UN Charter and International law.
They also reaffirmed their support for the immediate incorporation of Palestine as a full member state of the United Nations, which they considered a just and necessary step that will contribute to the protection of the legitimate rights of the Palestinian people.
The document also urged that the responsibility of the Israeli government and its supporters for the crimes perpetrated against the Palestinian people be determined, in accordance with international law.
Finally, it especially invited Palestine to take part in the Summit of 20 years of ALBA-TCP, scheduled to take place in Havana, Cuba, next December.
