In a message broadcast on the social network X, the ruler wished Sheinbaum success in her administration after highlighting that she will be the first woman to assume that position in Mexico.
“Count on Cuba’s willingness to continue strengthening the intimate brotherhood that unites our peoples,” the Cuban leader wrote.
Also, the foreign minister of Cuba, Bruno Rodríguez, sent congratulations to the new leader of that nation and reiterated Cuba’s willingness to continue promoting the economic-commercial relations of cooperation, solidarity, and friendship that unite us.
Sheinbaum became the first woman to win the presidency of Mexico by obtaining between 58.3 and 60.7 percent of the votes in the elections held last Sunday.
