To properly implement the consensus reached by the heads of state of China and Arab countries at their first summit, as well as the results of this meeting, the two sides must focus on four important tasks,” Wang Yi said.
According to the minister, “The first of these tasks is to enhance strategic mutual trust and firmly support each other’s core interests. It is also necessary to deepen practical cooperation and promote mutual benefits to a higher level.”
The third point is to “strengthen international coordination and work together to maintain the right direction of global governance.” The objective of the fourth and last is to “strengthen the construction of the forum and open bright prospects for the China-Arab States community with a shared future,” the Minister emphasized.
Based on participants’ expressions in the meeting, the Arab States and China share principles and ideas and have made common proposals. Mutual respect, sincere friendship, and mutually beneficial cooperation have been underpinning relations between both sides, they said.
As a result of the ministerial meeting, the Beijing Declaration, the CASCF implementation plan for 2024-2026, and a joint China-Arab States declaration on the Palestinian situation were issued.
On the sidelines of the meeting, Chinese President Xi Jinping held talks with his counterparts from the United Arab Emirates, Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al-Nahyan, from Egypt, Abdel Fattah El-Sisi; and from Tunisia, Kais Saied. In all cases, Xi expressed China’s willingness to promote both bilateral ties and the construction of a China-Arab community with a shared future.
