The delegation, which also consisted of the Minister of Foreign Economy, Cooperation and Communities Gareth Haddad, do Espirito Santo Guadalupe, arrived at the Miraflores Palace, the seat of Government, around midnight.

Cilia Flores, first fighter and deputy of the National Assembly; Foreign Minister Yvan Gil; and Vice Minister for Africa at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Yuri Pimentel, among others, welcomed the African delegation.

Trovoada arrived in the Bolivarian Republic on Tuesday. As part of his agenda, he laid a wreath on the coffin guarding Simon Bolivar’s remains rest at the National Pantheon and held several meetings.

Trovoada and Gil signed an agreement on Wednesday to eliminate the visa requirement for holders of diplomatic and service passports.

The agreement was inked at the Yellow House, the headquarters of the Foreign Ministry. It allows nationals of both countries with valid diplomatic or service passports “to enter, transit, stay, and leave the territories of the parties without a visa for up to 90 days from the date of entry.”
