During a meeting with Ambassador Andres Gonzalez at the Cuban Embassy in Colombo, Uduwawala appreciated Cuba’s progress in the science sector and called for promoting relations between the two countries’ institutions, official sources reported.
Earlier in the meeting, the Cuban diplomat presented scientific results in Cuba in different spheres of science, technology, and innovation.
Before Sheyed Samy of the National Commission for Science and Technology, Geethani S. Kannangara, Director of International Relations at the Sri Lankan Ministry of Education, and Maribel Duarte, First Secretary at the Cuban Embassy, Gonzalez also referred to the several research institutions of his country which have had significant achievements and recognitions.
Cuba and Sri Lanka have identified enormous potential in the health, education, biotechnology, and science sectors to strengthen cooperation at the excellent bilateral relation level.
