Cuban Gov’t ousts MINCEX Minister

Havana, May 23 (Prensa Latina) At the request of the Council of State, the Cuban government decided to oust Ricardo Cabrisas as Minister of Foreign Trade and Investment (MINCEX), local press announced on Thursday.

According to an official statement broadcast on national television, Cabrisas will continue to serve as deputy prime minister.

Oscar Perez-Oliva Fraga, current MINCEX´s first Deputy Minister, has been appointed to Minister.

Perez-Oliva, 53, has been graduated of electronic engineer. He has extensive management experience over 15 years in the foreign trade activity as CEO, deputy minister in this organization and director of Business Evaluation in the Mariel Special Development Zone.
