Doctors informed on Monday that Fico was recovering while Slovakia’s President Peter Pellegrini visited him at the medical center and had a brief conversation, media reported in the capital.
The assassination attempt on Robert Fico took place on May 15 after a government meeting.
The politician was injured in the chest and stomach, after which he was flown to hospital by helicopter.

Interior Minister Matus Sutaj-Estok, in turn, indicated that police officers are checking that the perpetrator did not act alone.
