“Syria condemns this list drawn up by the US State Department and demands its complete and immediate cancellation,” Bittar said during the Cuban ambassador’s reception at the Foreign Ministry headquarters in this capital.
He described as contradictory the recent decision to remove Cuba’s name from the list of countries that do not cooperate much with Washington in the fight against terrorism but keep Cuba in the group of sponsors of this scourge.
The executive considered that the United States is the main sponsor of terrorism and supports radical groups from the territories it occupies in northeastern Syria.
The Cuban ambassador, in turn, said that the latest US measure is aimed to confuse the world’s public opinion and the United States also.
