The biggest celebration of the recording industry in Cuba has offered sublime moments, and this afternoon’s gala promises similar emotions on the stage of the Avellaneda Hall of that cultural institution.
Grupo Moncada, Orquesta Aragon, Maria Victoria Rodriguez, Telmo Angulo, Dilson Hernandez, Colectivo Colombia, Sexteto Tabala, La Guarachera, Kenny Mena Cordoba (La Diva), Muñequitos de Matanzas, and Jacobo y La Mambanegra (Colombia) will perform at that event.
The Cubadisco 2024 International Symposium holds the Primera Línea business meeting at the Salon de Mayo of the Pabellon Cuba exhibition center in Havana, while the Siente la Música Conversando con nuestros artistas space is held at La Pergola hall of that facility.
Later, a group of improvisers from the Hermanos Saiz Association (AHS, in Spanish) will carry out a musical dispute with guests: Telmo Angulo and Dilson Hernandez (Colombia) at the central stage of that exhibition center.
The ALBA Culture Center in Havana will present in the afternoon the musicality of Ariel Barreiros, Joao Maio and his band (Basque Country), and Ismael de la Torre.
Meanwhile, at the National Museum of Fine Arts theater hall, Yasek Manzano and his band will perform with Sintese (Portugal) and the Quinteto Tempo (Cuba-Colombia).
Cubadisco 2024 will extend performances to other Havana cultural centers, including Cafe Miramar, the Mella Theater’s Gardens, BuleBar 66, Arte Habana, La Tropical’s Salon Rosado Benny More, and culture houses in several municipalities.
Dedicated to country music and Colombia as a guest of honor, the 27th International Music Industry Fair, Cubadisco 2024, is taking place until May 19 with the participation of Cuban artists and others from Germany, France, Portugal, Brazil, Hungary, Spain, Argentina, and Mexico.
