On Tuesday, the central stage of the Pabellon Cuba exhibition center is hosting a concert by Joao Maio and his band (Basque Country), along with Cuban singer songwriter Tony Avila, both of whom will have Italian guitarist Davide Lo Surdo as their guest.
Other stages of that cultural institution, such as La Pérgola and La Brújula, will open to the musicality of Nelson Valdés, the Real Maravilloso concert band, the D’Eva women’s band, and singer Ana Irma.
The Cubadisco 2024 International Symposium will continue in the May Hall of the exhibition venue until May 17, and will consist of debates about the Colombian music market, the current challenges of non-commercial genres in streaming platforms, and the challenges of artificial intelligence, among other issues.
Music will also come to the Argeliers León Hall with a recital by violinist Giondano Bastián, Quinteto Tempo (Colombia), and the Portuguese band Síntese.
Until May 19, the 27th edition of Cubadisco 2024 will be honored by renowned artists from Cuba and more than nine countries, including Germany, France, Portugal, Brazil, Hungary, Spain, Argentina, and Mexico.
