The military institution, which described those raids as “terrorist attacks” in a report published on its official website, stated that 12 of the unmanned aerial vehicles were shot down in the Belgorod province, eight over Kursk, four in Lipetsk, and seven over the Crimean peninsula.
The air defense systems also intercepted 12 Vilkha multiple rocket launcher projectiles in the Belgorod region, besides four Storm Shadow medium-range guided missiles in Crimea.
The Russian provinces bordering Ukraine, such as Belgorod, Bryansk, Kursk, Voronezh, and the Republic of Crimea, regularly report shelling, drone strikes, and other attacks from across the border, forcing the population to seek shelter elsewhere.
