National television reported that Valdes Mesa expressed satisfaction to the Turkish visitor with the excellent bilateral relations during the meeting held at the Palace of the Revolution, the seat of the Government.

For more than seven decades, Cuba and Türkiye have maintained solid political ties and have explored opportunities for growth in the commercial sphere, Valdes Mesa and Kurtulmuş agreed.

The Turkish parliamentarian, in turn, expressed gratitude for the hospitality he has received since he arrived in Cuba and was happy to be the first speaker of the Turkish Parliament to visit Havana.
