According to the Swedish Ministry, the investigation of the terrorist attack has already been carried out by the authorities under the fundamental principles of independence, impartiality, and the Rule of Law.
No international investigation is needed, as this will not show any result, the Swedish Foreign Ministry affirmed, as quoted by public broadcaster SVT.
The Swedish Foreign Ministry added that further domestic investigations are being carried out.
In late April 2023, Geng Shuang, Deputy Permanent Representative of the People’s Republic of China to the United Nations, called at a Security Council meeting to start an international investigation of the Nord Stream attack under the organization’s auspices.
Sweden and Denmark recently announced the end of the investigation into pipeline emergencies.
