Havana, May 3 (Prensa Latina) The exhibition "Códice del Fin del Mundo" (Codices of the End of the World) by Mexican artist José Miguel González Casanova, with drawings about the capitalist impact on nature, will open at Havana's National Museum of Fine Arts on Friday.

The exhibition will take place at the Universal Art Building of this capital’s gallery and consists of ten large-format drawings with which the author explores the problem of the predatory impact caused by capitalist societies on the environment, Cubarte reported.

The website pointed out that this Mexican artist reflects in his exhibition, the behavior of human groups due to the concentration of wealth and the promotion of exploitation and consumerism.

González Casanova, who is also a professor at the National Autonomous University of Mexico, stated that “Códice del Fin del Mundo” is a series of drawings that contains “La Escuela del Fin del Mundo” (The school of the World’s end).

“It is an art and education project conceived in three stages to generate interactive experiences with the public in the coming months”, this is González Casanova proposal from this Friday afternoon, at Havana’s Museum of Fine Arts.
