In a press release, Bui Van Cuong, secretary general of the legislature, said that the resolution also includes the termination of his functions as a member of the National Security and Defense Council and a member of the 15th Legislature.

After hearing the report and Dinh Hue’s words, according to the VNA news agency, the Parliament debated, voted by secret ballot and approved the resolution on Dinh Hue’s removal.

The Vietnamese National Assembly body also considered today the dismissal of Duong Van Thai, a member of the parliamentary delegation from the northern province of Bac Giang, from the function of deputy of the 15th legislature.

The day before, the Standing Committee of the Vietnamese Parliament announced the holding, this Thursday, of its seventh extraordinary meeting of the current legislature for the purpose of discussing “personnel issues within the competence of the legislative body.”
