DPRK reveres People’s Revolutionary Army

Pyongyang, Apr 25 (Prensa Latina) Workers' Party (WPK) and government cadres praised the heroic contributions of the Korean People's Army (KPA) on the 92nd anniversary of that military institution, the state news agency KCNA reported on Thursday.

In a visit to Korean Revolution Museum, in this capital, the leaders remembered KPA Founder Kim Il Sung and his wise military strategies, which led to the country’s victory over Japanese colonialism and enabled the victorious advance of the revolutionary cause of Juche.

Among the visitors was Choe Ryong Hae, member of the WPK Political Bureau, first vice-chairman of the State Affairs Committee and chairman of the Supreme People’s Assembly.

These days, on the occasion of the date, Koreans often visit the Kumsusan Sun Palace, where the remains of Presidents Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il, who also made huge contributions to the modernization and development of the country’s armed forces, are resting.

There are also cemeteries dedicated to those who fell in defense of the independence and sovereignty of the country and sites where important battles were fought, such as the Jongbang and Majon mountains.

In the capital and other cities, artistic performances recreate the history of the KPRA and the country’s full combat readiness to defend its achievements.
