Trade between Russia and the ICO increased significantly

Moscow, Apr 17 (Prensa Latina) The volume of business between Russia and the member countries of the Islamic Cooperation Organization (ICO) rose 37 percent over the last three years, Deputy Prime Minister Marat Khusnulin said.

The Minister told the Sputnik news agency that Russia is satisfied with the growth of the trade with ICO member countries, which reached 156 billion dollars in the last 36 months.

Khusnulin, who presided over a meeting of the organizing committee of the Russia-Islamic World: Kazan Forum, which is slated to take place from May 14th to 19th, stressed the importance of the exchange, both for Russia and the member nations of the organization.

The Russia-Islamic World: Kazan Forum International Economic Forum is celebrated yearly in Tatarstan since 2009, and constitutes a platform for reinforcing trade and economic, scientific, technical, social, and cultural ties between the Russian Federation and the ICO.
