According to the head of Government, those representatives are participating in the political debates on the bill entitled “On Transparency of Foreign Influence,” and they are trying to combine their functions with legislative ones, dictating to the Georgian Parliament what law to pass and what not to pass.
For Kobakhidze, such an attitude contradicts diplomatic standards, even though he described cooperation with the ambassadors of the United States and the European Union as a priority, considering that Georgia’s leading foreign policy goal is its integration into the EU bloc.
He noted that diplomats do not argue against this bill during closed discussions but later and make unfounded statements publicly instead of the local opposition.
