During a telephone conversation, Mustafa thanked Brazil for its historic support for the cause of the Palestinian people and detailed the situation in the occupied territories, especially Gaza, based on a government statement.
Mustafa analyzed diplomatic efforts to stop Israeli attacks and increase the volume of humanitarian aid for the inhabitants of the Strip. He also briefed Vieira on the work priorities of the new Palestinian Government, which include stopping aggression, rebuilding Gaza, and promoting institutional reforms and economic recovery.
In turn, Vieira congratulated Mustafa on the formation of the nineteenth Palestinian cabinet and wished him success.
The prime minister also spoke by telephone with the Foreign Minister of Oman, Badr bin Hamad Al-Busaidi, as part of a diplomatic offensive to end the fighting in Gaza.
More than 33,000 Palestinians have been killed and another 75,000 wounded in the Gaza Strip after 187 days of Israeli attacks, according to official data.
