According to Murillo’s previous statements, during a Colombia-Venezuela Neighborhood and Integration Commission meeting, the two ministers analyzed several aspects of interest.
The Colombian minister also added that items such as the commercial exchange between the two countries, which already amounts to 700 million dollars, will be addressed.
Despite the concerns publicly expressed by each country about the other, Murillo told the press that Colombia has a cordial and close relationship with its neighbor, and there are “fluid channels of communication between two nations that share a common history.”
He mentioned that the experience of breaking relations with Caracas in the past was disastrous, and Colombia thus acknowledged it.
