The diplomat made that remark after a “pleasant meeting” on Friday with Cuban Deputy Foreign Minister Josefina Vidal, who traveled to Caracas on a working visit.
Gil stated that the unity between our countries and our efforts for regional integration is “fundamental to overcome the siege by the United States” and show that a new world is possible.
Vidal and the Venezuelan Deputy Foreign Minister for the Caribbean, Raul Li Causi, chaired the 6th Round of Migration Talks between the two nations, at which they discussed the behavior of migration flows and consular issues of interest for the two governments.
The meeting analyzed “possible solutions” to the problems that our nationals may face regarding migration matters, especially the illicit activities associated with it, the Cuban Embassy in the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela published on its Facebook profile.
It noted that this round of negotiations took place at a “complex time due to the policies of US blockade and aggression” that both nations are facing.
