Venezuelan Attorney General discredits OAS defense of journalist

Caracas, Apr 2 (Prensa Latina) Attorney General Tarek William Saab affirmed that the OAS Secretary General's defense of journalist Orlando Avendaño, who called for insurrection against Venezuela, only proved right the Public Prosecutor's Office.

In a message disclosed last night in his X account, the Venezuelan official stated that Luis Almagro came to Caracas to ‘kneel before the coffin of President Chavez: to then become the worst renegade that the history of this continent has known in the 21st century’.

‘Nothing good, he wrote, could be expected from a token of alias the #Pepe (Jose Mujica), who handed Uruguay over to the drug cartel and now plays the SabioPirata: being in reality another renegade turned vedette of the oligarchies of always.’

Saab pointed out that Almagro will remain in history as the ‘gravedigger of the OAS’, turned today into a ghostly and mediocre organization: only useful to defend the interests dictated by the United States and the most terrorist right wing of the continent.

The head of the Public Prosecutor’s Office wrote in his post that ‘what you did against the people of Bolivia’, you never achieved nor will you ever achieve it with the homeland of Simon Bolivar, Venezuela.

Also the executive secretary of the Bolivarian Alliance for the Peoples of Our America-People’s Trade Treaty, Jorge Arreaza, criticized OAS head’s position that, as usual, ‘comes out in defense’ of those who intend to subvert the constitutional order in the Bolivarian Republic.

The Venezuelan diplomat pointed out that the ‘General Hitman of the dying’ Organization of American States (OAS), does not defend freedom of expression, but freedom of conspiracy.

‘What else could be expected’, he asked, if this guy insistently requested the military invasion; called for and celebrated the US criminal sanctions against the Venezuelan people; and defended and extolled every coup plotter that arises.

He added that he also supported the illegality and theft of Venezuela’s assets with the operation of the so-called interim president (Juan) Guaido, mercenaries, paramilitaries and assassins, pretended to isolate the Bolivarian Republic and ended up isolated.

Almagro condemned on the social network X what he called ‘harassment and persecution’ of US-based journalist Orlando Avendaño by the Venezuelan Public Prosecutor’s Office.
