Bolsonaro says he’d rather die than go to jail in Brazil

Brasilia, Apr 2 (Prensa Latina) Former Brazilian President Jair Bolsonaro, who gives desperate strokes on Tuesday like a tacit drowned in justice, hinted once again that he’d rather shoot himself to kill, not allowing anyone to arrest him.

According to the Metropoles website, the former military repeated again what he said to some interlocutors, including a minister of the Supreme Federal Court, in 2022, about the prospect of being arrested, now for his alleged involvement in the coup attempt on January 8, 2023.

The site indicates that, for the first time, the far-right politician spoke to a Supreme Court judge about shooting anyone who tried to arrest him, on a conversation held at the Alvorada Palace, the official residence of the presidents in Brasilia, on the first weekend of August.

An agitated Bolsonaro stated by that time,”I shoot to kill, but no one takes me to prison. I would rather die.”

Metropoles website assures that such position is maintained by the former president as the odd of his arrest in the case of the coup plot rises.

So far, three lines of investigation are open against Bolsonaro in the cases of attempted coup d’état, fraud in anti-Covid-19 vaccination cards and diversion of money from gifts received from foreign authorities as head of State (2019-2022).
