“The minister presented a decree by Russian President Vladimir Putin on the appointment of Admiral Alexander Moiseev as commander-in-chief of the Navy,” Shoigu posted on its official Telegram account on Tuesday.
Under the same presidential decree, Vice Admiral Konstantin Kabantsov was appointed commander of the Northern Fleet, and Vice Admiral Sergey Pinchuk is the commander of the Black Sea Fleet.
Shoigu congratulated Moiseev, Kabantsov and Pinchuk, and reminded them of the responsibility that now rests on their shoulders.
“I hope that they will be able to cope with the tasks set for them by the Supreme Commander of the Russian Armed Forces, the Russian Defense Ministry and, of course, the country,”
Shoigu stated.
