In a statement, the peacekeeping mission urged all parties to lay down their arms and start working towards a sustainable political and diplomatic solution.

At the same time, Unifil expressed its concern over the escalation of violence currently across the Blue Line and noted that such hostility caused the death of a large number of civilians and the destruction of homes and livelihoods.

At this point, the international command indicated its readiness to support this process in any way possible, even by holding a tripartite meeting at the request of the parties.

Addressing the events in southern Lebanon, the UN Humanitarian Coordinator here, Imran Riza, stated that the tragic events of the last 36 hours resulted in the death of up to 11 civilians, including 10 paramedics, in a single day.

In this regard, he denounced the repeated attacks on health facilities and health workers who risk their lives to provide urgent assistance to their local communities.

Incidentally, he pointed out that attacks on medical care violate international humanitarian law and are unacceptable.

In his message, he emphasized that the rules of war are clear: civilians, including health care workers, must be protected.

In light of Zionist brutality, the Lebanese Foreign Ministry filed a complaint with the Security Council over the massacres committed by Israel against aid workers and civilians in the towns of Al-Habbariyah, Naqoura and Baalbek.
