Russian anti-tank Chrysanthemum missile with greater flight autonomy

Moscow, Mar 28 (Prensa Latina) The Chrysanthemum anti-tank missile, which was shown to the President of Russia, Vladimir Putin, acquired greater guided flight range after its modernization, the High Technology Corporation, Rostec, informed.

At the same time, the designers have fully retained the dimensions of the missile in order to avoid modifications to the missile’s carriers, according to the company’s press release.

Rostec also revealed that it is working to modernize and increase the production of various types of airborne weapons.

“The products manufactured today at the corporation’s enterprises show high combat performance directly in the area of the special military operation, which, as we see, is noticed both by our pilots and the enemy,” the company added.

On March 28, in the city of Torzhok in Russia’s Tver region, the inspector and pilot of the 344th State Combat and Training Center, Aleksandr Karamyshev, showed Putin the Chrysanthemum missile with an improved warhead.

The specialist explained to the head of State that when the projectile hits a tank, it blows up its turret even without detonating the ammunition.

The 9M123M Chrysanthemum guided missile is designed to destroy modern enemy armored vehicles with dynamic protection, enemy fortifications and engineering structures, surface and low-speed air targets, as well as military troops.

The ammunition is also part of the armament of the Chrysanthemum-S self-propelled anti-tank missile system.
