Cuba expresses condolences after terrorist attack in Russia

Havana, Mar 26 (Prensa Latina) Hundreds of Cubans went today to the Russian Embassy in this capital to express condolences for the victims of the terrorist act perpetrated in the Crocus City Hall concert hall in the province of Moscow.

The attendants sign the book of condolences opened in that diplomatic legation the day before, to express their condemnation for the aggression with assault rifles and subsequent burning of the cultural facility last Friday that caused the death of at least 139 people and more than a hundred wounded.

The president of Prensa Latina, Luis Enrique González, on behalf of the workers of this Latin American news agency, arrived at the diplomatic representation this morning to express his solidarity with the Russian population in the face of this atrocious event.

In the book, Gonzalez expressed his sorrow for the terrorist attack, wished a speedy recovery to the wounded, and expressed his confidence that justice will be done in this case, at the same time he advocated for the end of terrorism anywhere in the world.

Strong embrace to Russia in this hour of pain, wrote the president of Prensa Latina, and affirmed that this friendly and sister nation of Cuba deserves to build its present and future without threats and in peace.

This message is added to the expressions of grief and solidarity of leaders, representatives of Cuban organizations and institutions and the Cuban population in the face of the events that mourn the Russian people.

Outside the embassy of the Slavic country, the population deposits flowers and other objects as a tribute of peace and solidarity, and adds its signature in the book of condolences that will remain open at the embassy until 18:00, local time, today.
