By means of a note published on its web site, the military entity specified that the aggression was perpetrated with fighter planes and drones against localities and military posts in the province of Deir Ezzor, located some 450 kilometers northeast of Damascus, the capital.
The hostile action caused injuries to 19 military personnel and 13 civilians, in addition to causing significant material losses to public and private property.
Military sources consulted by Prensa Latina reported at least 10 incursions against positions of the Syrian army and its allies, in the provincial capital, the cities of Albukamal and Al-Mayadeen, and the locality of Al-Salhieh.
On February 3, U.S. fighter-bombers attacked dozens of Syrian army and allied positions in Deir Ezzor, killing 37 people, in addition to the destruction of several residential buildings, a school and historical sites, including the castle of Al-Rahba.
During the October and November last year, similar attacks were also carried out against positions of the Syrian Armed Forces and their allies, in Deir Ezzor governorate.
