On his X account, the head of Cuban diplomacy noted that one out of three children under two years of age is currently suffering from acute malnutrition in northern Gaza, while 1.1 million Palestinians are facing catastrophic hunger and starvation.

The head of the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East (UNRWA), Philippe Lazarini, revealed that Israel will not allow any aid caravans belonging to the agency to enter northern Gaza.

Since Sunday, the main artery of life for Palestinian refugees has been deprived of vital aid,’ Lazarini condemned on his X account.

The official emphasized that by preventing the agency from fulfilling its mandate in Gaza the clock is ticking faster towards famine and more people will die of thirst and lack of shelter.
