This stance, reported by local media, was expressed by the Syrian Permanent Representative at the United Nations, Ambassador Qusai Al-Dahhak, at a meeting of the Security Council.
Statements by the governments of these countries about their concern for the security and stability of Syria and the welfare of its people demand that they change and abandon their policies of disinformation and distortion of facts and adopt approach based on diplomacy and dialogue, the diplomat explained.
He called for supporting the Syrian State’s efforts to improve the humanitarian situation, restore the authority of law throughout the national territory and fight terrorists and end their crimes, including the illicit trafficking of antiquities and drugs.
According to the delegate, Syria has taken a wide range of measures to improve security and stability and provide favorable conditions for the return of refugees.
