Argentina´s CTA-A workers express solidarity with Cuba

Buenos Aires, Mar 20 (Prensa Latina) The Central de Trabajadores de Argentina-Autónoma (CTA-A) on Wednesday reaffirmed its solidarity with the Cuban Revolution and condemned U.S. aggressions over Cuba.

In a statement, CTA-A’s workers strongly condemned “the destabilizing US attempts to generate an anxiety and unrest setting in Cuba”.

The enemies of the Revolution, in an opportunistic and opportunistic way, try to take advantage, once again, of the complex economic scenario (…) They want to disrupt order and peace.

Likewise, the document recalls that the Cuban situation is being caused by the economic, commercial and financial blockade imposed by the United States for over 60 years.

In the message, the CTA-A champions Cuba’s legitimate right to build a sovereign and independent society, without interference or external pressures, and also rejects the attempts of a soft coup orchestrated by the U.S. State Department.

The blockade is a criminal, coercive and illegal measure that violates not only international law, but also all resolutions of the United Nations, the principle of equality among nations and non-interference.

CTA-A´s International Relations Secretary Adolfo Aguirre, on the other hand, asserted that “the US impunity must have a limit”.

How can the international community allow that the human rights of a country whose only sin is to embark on a path of autonomous development for its people be systematically can be violated for over six decades?” Aguirre questioned.

Aguirre urged to make visible the consequences of the US blockade and the damage it causes to the economy, health, the provision of food, medicines and supplies for the normal development of daily life in Cuba.
